life without any sort of order or safety was dangerous. anything that was bigger than you could chomp you up in a heartbeat, just like a mouse. this was especially true with vixenkit's parents, who had difficulty surviving out in the wild, even with just the two of them.
imagine how especially hard it was with four kits on the way.
when vixenkit and her siblings were born, they were unaware of the dangers that were around them. their entire life was playtime and milk. vixenkit especially loved the short stories her mother would tell in attempts to quiet her down and make her fall asleep.
her parents would constantly tell them of the dangers of being outside their vision. and though vixenkit longed to see the open world, she stayed put. it was less for her and more to set a good example for her siblings, because she wanted to keep them safe.
when they were old enough to walk around without stumbling too hard, their parents took them to the edge of a territory that smelled strange. her parents told she and her siblings that living out in the wild was too dangerous, especially for kittens. they told them to wait for the clan cats. they would be safe with them.
vixenkit had no idea what clan cats were, but she was certainly excited for the new things she could learn and see!
